Artificial Intelligence for Medical Ultrasound
Laura Brattain, PhD, Associate Professor, The University of Central Florida
Dr. Brattain is an Associated Professor of Medicine in the Dept. of Medicine at UCF College of Medicine. She is a core faculty member at UCF Institute of AI and holds secondary positions in the UCF College of Engineering and Computer Sciences and Institute of Simulation and Training. Dr. Brattain’s research integrates biomedical artificial intelligence (AI), medical imaging, and surgical robotics. She has a proven track record in fostering collaborations, leading multidisciplinary teams, mentoring students, and facilitating translational AI applications. One of her research focuses is to apply AI and robotics to medical ultrasound to enable noninvasive, point-of-care medical technologies.

L. Colby Mangum, PhD, LAT, ATC, Associate Professor, The University of Central Florida
Dr. Colby Mangum is a tenured associate professor with the Athletic Training Program in the School of Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Central Florida.
