Role description
Your Ultrasound Skills. A New Focus: Bone Health.
Now Recruiting: Generalist Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (CMRITO) Part-Time Subcontractor Opportunities | Burlington & Ontario Community Clinics
Ready to apply your sonography expertise in a new area of musculoskeletal health, with flexible hours, varied settings, and meaningful patient care?
Wallis for Wellness Beyond Your Scan is recruiting CMRITO-registered generalist sonographers to join our growing team. Bring your experience in anatomy, ultrasound acquisition, patient positioning, and quality assurance. We’ll provide the REMS-specific training to help you build a new skill in ultrasound-based bone health assessment.
Discover REMS
Developed in Italy and used in Europe since 2017, REMS—Radiofrequency Echographic Multi-Spectrometry—uses ultrasound to assess bone health without ionizing radiation.
Our Health Canada–licensed Class II Echolight system provides:
Bone mineral density measurements to support osteoporosis assessment.
Bone quality information through the Fragility Score and fracture risk
Body composition estimates.
Its portability brings assessment beyond traditional imaging departments and into community clinics and workplace wellness programs.
Why join us?
Learn a new skill: REMS-specific training is included.
Flexible, part-time scheduling: Arrange clinic commitments around your availability.
Scheduled clinic hours: No overnight or rotating hospital shifts.
Location options: Opportunities at our Burlington headquarters and community clinics across Ontario and soon to be Canada
Varied work settings: Collaborating health clinics and corporate preventative health programs.
A collaborative team: Work within a service that combines scanning, a nurse practitioner referral pathway, and patient education and navigation support.
Room to grow: Help expand access to bone health assessment as our clinic and corporate programs develop.
Our Chief Medical Advisor, Dr. Kristy Prouse, supports our commitment to evidence-informed, collaborative care.
Who we’re looking for
A generalist sonographer with:
Current CMRITO registration in diagnostic medical sonography.
Professional liability insurance.
Strong acquisition, quality assurance, and patient communication skills.
An interest in preventative health and learning a new technology.
The ability to work independently within established protocols and collaborate with our healthcare team.
Previous REMS experience is not required. Technology-specific training is provided.
